Rip Current Awareness– In light of the recent tragedies on Pleasure Island due to Rip Currents, Bob Lewis from The Last Resort is starting the Pleasure Island Rip Tide Awareness Campaign to educate the public on Rip Currents. Bob is challenging the local businesses to pitch in and help get enough Rip Tide Awareness Posters printed so that each business, real estate company, property rental company and individual owners of condo/beach house rentals can display and educate the public on a daily basis. While our lifeguards, fire and safety rescue personnel and the police department are doing a wonderful job, we need to do our part to help educate the public immediately. Bob has volunteered to organize, collect donations for printing expenses and will also go around to the local businesses and distribute the information. If you would like to donate your time or money to this incredibly valuable campaign, please contact Bob at 599-2879 or visit him at The Last Resort at 600 N. Lake Park Boulevard. We need your help to avoid any further loss of life on our Island. www.carolinabeachbar.com
