Island of Lights presents the Annual Christmas Parade – Show your holiday spirit by coming out for this year’s Island of Lights Christmas Parade. The parade is on December 5th at 7:30 p.m. and begins at the Lake & head north on Lake Park to the old Food Lion Shopping Center. If you would like to participate in this year’s parade, please contact Francis Massey at 458-5507.

Enjoy Breakfast with Santa at the Carolina Beach Courtyard Marriott – On December 6th Santa will be at the Courtyard Marriott! Bring your little ones down for that special holiday picture with the Big Guy and receive a voucher for a discount on their breakfast buffet. Katie B. Hines Senior Center Pancake Breakfast - From 7:30 to 11:00 am come out to the Katie B. Hines Senior Center Pancake Breakfast on December 6th. Breakfast includes pancakes, eggs, sausage, fruit, coffee, tea and juice. Tickets are $6.00 for adults, $4.00 for children over 8 and free for kids 8 and under.

2008 Carolina Beach Fire Department Toy Drive – The CB Fire Department will be holding their annual Toy Drive on December 6th from 10–4 pm at Food Lion and Maxway in Carolina Beach. There will also be drop boxes located at CVS and Dollar General. Don’t miss your chance to put a smile on a face of a special child here in our community.

Island of Lights Christmas Flotilla – The traditional Christmas Flotilla will take place on December 6th at 6:00 p.m. The judges will be watching from Harbor Masters so come on out and show your Christmas spirit by cheering for your favorite boat. If you would like to enter a boat in the flotilla, please contact Kathie Winseck at the Checkered Church at 458-0211.

Free Oyster Roast at Harbor Masters – Once again this Sunday, Harbor Masters will be celebrating Customer Appreciation Day by offering a free oyster roast from 3:00–6:00 p.m. Harbor Masters is located at 315 Canal Drive in Carolina Beach. For more information, call 458-2800.

Kure Beach Christmas Fantasy Show – On December 12th and 13th at 7:00 p.m., come on down to downtown Kure Beach for the Annual Kure Beach Christmas Fantasy Show. There will be plenty of singing, dancing and characters galore. This is a great show, fun for all ages.

The North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher presents "Be a Child during the Holidays"
On December 13th & 14th the entire family can enjoy admission to the Aquarium at a child’s rate. That’s right, admission for adults is only $6.00. Be sure to check out the Scuba Santa in the Big tank, Puppet Shows & Crafts, the original Grinch on the Big Screen and photo specials with Santa.

Tuscan Grill’s Holiday Hours and Winter Specials – Tuscan Grill will be open on Christmas Eve from 4 to 8 p.m. and is also booking reservations for New Year’s Eve. Additionally, they are offering 4 new Winter Special Entrees including Sicilian Meatloaf with Mashed Potatoes, Chicken Parmesan with Fettuccine, Beef Stroganoff and Baked Lasagna with a meatball. All entrees come with soup, salad and desert for $12.99. Tuscan Grill is open Monday-Thursday 4-9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 4-9:30 p.m.
